If you want to learn how to make money with a blog, you need to figure out how to get your blog off to a fast start. It is important to get your blog “on the map” as soon as you can, as you will get little traffic and make no money until you do.
I will share with you some of my top tips on how to get your blog off to a fast start. Here they are:
1. Spend all your time on content — You will make money with a blog when you learn to generate a lot of great content. I see a lot of people spend their time on tasks that are not content related such as website design. This is wrong and will just hold your blog back. You need to focus all of your effort and time on content generation. It does not matter what your site looks like if no one is looking at it.
2. A full 75% of your effort on back linking — You need to make sure you are spending ample time on your back linking. You need to spend about 75% of your writing time preparing back link articles. You need to do this so you can get search engine rankings and traffic for your new blog. If your blog is not found by the search engines often, it will not get much traffic. Back linking helps with this a lot.
3. At least 50% of back links go for “deep linking” — You want to make sure your back links point to your internal post pages. This pages need to get “picked up” by the search engines just like your home page. You want to put about half of your efforts into this “deep linking”. You want to remember to send the other 50% to your home page as well.
You want to do everything you can to get your blog off to a fast start. You need to spend your effort and time on content generation and little else. This will get your post pages indexed by the search engines, and good things will happen from that.
