The typical person will get the idea of starting their own website or blog by reading other people’s blog online or perhaps an article about how people are making money from home. Because of their interest in being their own boss and making money from home, they will start to read as much as they can on the topic of creating a business online. Since they read that you’re supposed to write about things you love in order to make money online, they start doing just that. They talk about their day, their dog, their family, and so on. They make several posts a day. They stick ads on their page and start checking their stats each hour. After about a month or so, after realizing that they haven’t made any money, they go figure they are doing something wrong and go back to read more make money blogs.
They find some new tips such as article marketing and get excited again and back to work they go. This cycle continues until about 6 months to a year down the road when they make up their mind that making money online just doesn’t work or it’s not for them and they end up quitting.
If you want to avoid this cycle, learn from people who have not only been successful at creating an online business but have done it dozens of times, not just once. Not only that, you want to find someone who has taught others to do the same and have help them to actually earn money. This way, you won’t be wasting your time chasing the wrong things.
