There are so many different weight loss gurus, and gimmicky sales people trying to tell you what you need to do in order to lose weight. You need to buy this pills, that DVD, read this book, and buy all of these late night crappy infomercial machines.  Yet, with all of this stuff out there, why is America getting fatter and fatter?  Isn’t it time you learn what you really need to do in order to see quick weight loss results? It will be hard work but the hard work will pay off.

Here are the tips in both the areas of nutrition and exercise.

When it comes to nutrition, it is all about making better choices when you eat.  Choosing options with less calories and less fat will definitely help you in the long run.  Vegetables and fruits including their juices are great lower calorie snacks that also provide vitamins and minerals in the most natural way. Increased fiber helps as well.  When choosing meats, choosing the leaner options such as chicken and turkey, as well as fish are always great bets, but if you’re going to get beef, try to get the leanest cuts you can find. Buffalo is a great meat as well, but it is more expensive and can be hard to find.

When it comes to exercise, strength training is the way to go. Using free weights, weight machines, or even resistance bands to provide resistance for your muscles, you’ll build up the lean muscle mass which helps in the fat burning process. The type of exercise most people try to do, cardio, doesn’t help you as much when it comes to weight loss. This is because your body becomes more efficient and so it burns less fuel, but when the fuel you need to burn is fat, it works against you.
