Curly Hair Guide

I know a lot of curly-haired individuals that get very frustrated with their hair, and I know others that always have amazing curls.

How is it that only some of these people seem to know what to do with curly hair? Everyone gets frustrated with their hair sometimes, even those with perfect curls have their good days and bad days.

The difference is that they have found the best product for curly hair and the ideal routine to make their curls look great.

Healthy Hair is Beautiful Hair

First of all, if your hair isn’t healthy, it’s not going to look good either. Start by taking good care of your curls. Throw out your hair dye, blow dryer, curling iron, and flat iron.

Throw out your harsh shampoos and replace them with sulfate-free shampoos, cream cleansers, and conditioners. Use a deep treatment at least once a month, and skip washing your hair now and then.

Comb your hair gently when it’s dry instead of yanking a brush through your hair.  All of these simple good things add up to a lot of help for your hair.

Style and Leave it Alone

When you have curly hair, combing or brushing it is only good when it’s right before a shower. Brushing out curls completely messes them up turning your hair into a frizzy mess. Instead, wash and condition it, then style it and leave it alone. Let it air dry, and don’t touch it while it dries. Style it and leave it alone.

Minimal Styling

One great thing about curly hair is that you don’t have to do a whole lot to make it look good. Put away the heat tools and break out the gel and leave in conditioner. Add a frizz reducing serum if necessary. Comb through the product, scrunch out the moisture, towel dry while scrunching, and then let it air dry. It will look best if you don’t do too much to it.

Curly hair doesn’t have to be complicated. Less is definitely more. Sometimes you might have a bad hair day, but it happens to the best of us.
