Effective Homemade Laundry Detergent

When crisis hits our country, we should always be prepared to save money since you’ll never know how much prices will increase in the coming days. If you were to ask me, I think it will be best if we try to minimize the cost for those things we spend most on like our detergent. We use it for various things like laundry, removing stains, or even for washing your car so it will really help us a lot if we somehow cut the cost of this. So what better way to do this than actually using your own homemade laundry detergent.

Start of by getting the right materials for the job.

You will need around 2 bars of soap. Some borax powder and washing soda.

Your first task is to heat a pan and put some water in it. Get it to a boil before you start adding in the bars of soap. Let the soap melt for a bit before you start stirring and do this until the soap is fully dissolved.

This should take around 10 minutes and once you are done, pour the mixture into a pan to cool down a bit. You don’t want it to be totally cold since it might just solidify on you. Once it is quite cool, add in the borax powder and washing soda. Continue stirring until all the ingredients are mixed together.

Now for the final step, add in some water. I suggest around 2-3 gallons of water.

Obviously the more water you add, then the more diluted your detergent will become so it should depend on your purpose. I would suggest making it more concentrated because once you start using it, then you can just add in more water to dilute it.

You will be surprised as to how strong this compound you created it. No need to use highly complicated processes like electrolysis rust removal, or advanced chemicals for ink stain removal. Normally this detergent should suffice for most jobs.
